Whether you want to explore Western Cornwall by car or just enjoy St Ives on foot, Count House Cottage is ideally situated.


The picturesque town of St Ives is a short 20 minute stroll along the coastal path with some fantastic views of the beautiful St Ives coastline.

Please do bear in mind, St Ives is quite hilly!! Alternatively, you can take a ride on the scenic Coastal Train.

Taxis are easily available and we have a bus stop just outside the property for those who don't wish to walk!

There is free parking on site for all guests during their stay. 

For those wanting to travel slightly further afield, The Minack Theatre, Sennen Cove, Mousehole, St Michael's Mount and Lands End are all within easy reach. There is so much to explore within a 30-45 minute drive of us. Take a look at the Visit Cornwall website to find out more:



Whatever you choose to do, Count House Cottage is an excellent base from which to start.....

The beautiful blue flagged beach of Carbis Bay is a short 10/12 minute walk from us with clear seas to dip your toes in and gorgeous golden sand to walk on!!

Enjoy a local walk, or stroll along the coastal path into St Ives, (at low tide, you can even walk through the boats in the harbour!) or for the more adventurous walk to Zennor (with its infamous pub - The Tinners Arms) and enjoy a hearty lunch.

Just a few miles up the coast is the National Trust property of Godrevy. With its' lighthouse and several miles of fabulous sand dunes, you are sure to have a peaceful walk here!

Just a short drive away is St Michael's Mount - a small island full of myths and legends dating back to 495AD - accessible by foot at low tide and by boat at other times. This interesting historical castle & the village of Marazion with its cafes and shops are a 'must-do' highlight of any visit to West Cornwall.

The furthest point west in the UK. A visit to this iconic landmark is a must when visiting Cornwall. Wrap up warm here as it is very blustery at most times of the year!!

Accessed by foot by walking the beautiful coastal path towards Lelant and Hayle; Here you will find peace and quiet to enjoy clear waters, sandy beaches & sea air.

Scenic Coastal Train

We are easy to find, on the main A3074 road into St Ives. Just at the corner of Count House Lane.  With free parking available for all our guests.  

The Cornish Arms pub serving excellent pub food is just 5 minutes walk. La Casita serves Mediterranean food and is a 15 minute walk. Alternatively, venture into St Ives, whatever your taste, there is a wide selection of eateries for you to choose from.
